THE WORLD'S LARGEST GIACOMETTI COLLECTION
As the legatee of the artist's widow, Annette Giacometti, the Foundation holds the world's largest collection of works by Alberto Giacometti. Its permanent collection includes over 5,000 works of Alberto Giacometti, including 87 paintings, 112 bronzes, 370 plasters, and thousands of drawings and prints. It also holds over 4,800 photographs, as well as works by other artists donated to the Giacometti couple. The collection also includes all of Giacometti's Parisian studio, with its famous painted walls and furniture, as well as the artist's library.
The collection is not publicly visible on the Foundation's premises, but is frequently presented through numerous exhibitions and external loans.
