In order to promote the artist's rights, the Alberto & Annette Giacometti Foundation seeks to prevent the circulation of forgeries and counterfeit works.

Works may also be submitted for authentication to the Giacometti Committee.
The Foundation is partner of the Intergovernmental Platform, Comité national anti-contrefaçon (CNAC) and also of the the Swiss Anti-Counterfeiting and Piracy Platform, Stop Piracy.
In addition, the Foundation is member of the association Art & Droit.
Coming soon : a website dedicated to the surveillance of counterfeits of Alberto Giacometti works.

The Foundation is a founding member of the Association des Ayants Droit d'Artistes Décorateurs et Designers.
Many models of decorative art objects are fraudulently attributed to Diego Giacometti, or to Alberto Giacometti and Diego Giacometti. These erroneous attributions are often used to cover up counterfeit works. To know more about decorative art objects, please download our note on :
