The collection includes more than 5 000 works by Alberto Giacometti including 95 paintings, 260 bronzes and 550 plasters, thousands of drawings and prints. It also comprises 4 600 photographs as well as a few works by other artists given to the Giacometti couple as gifts (Joan Miró, Max Ernst). The collection also includes the contents of Giacometti’s studio in Montparnasse, its famous painted walls and its furniture, and the artist’s library.
The works from the Alberto Giacometti Collection are progressively published online on the database.
They cannot be seen in our headquarters but are frequently on display through exhibitions and long-term loans.
