Description

In this drawing, whose subject remains difficult to interpret, Alberto Giacometti has probably depicted the interior of his studio. The drawings representing his room, his studio, or the rooms of the family house in Stampa, were the occasion for the artist to represent the networks that his gaze wove in the three dimensions of space, in the depth, and which define almost palpable relations between the objects. These undefined lines that turned around their subject enabled him to restore the movement of his gaze that moved over the room, and the objects found there. This drawing was never exhibited in the artist’s lifetime.
