Fondation Giacometti

The Giacometti Committee reports that the work suffered an act of vandalism in July 1978, damaging the surface of the face by burning. It was subsequently restored. The Giacometti Committee is not aware of the identity of the restorer, nor of a restoration report, but recognizes the good quality of the intervention.
