In a lecture followed by an interview with Hugo Daniel, curator of the exhibition "Giacometti / Beckett. Fail again. Fail better. "the Irish artist Gerard Byrne will discuss his interest in Beckett's productions, and in particular the performances of Giacometti's set design of Waiting for Godot.
This work led in 2005 to an installation integrating a reinterpretation of the tree created by Giacometti for Beckett. Gerard Byrne's work has been exhibited in major international institutions, including representing Ireland at the Venice Biennale in 2007.
