Alberto Giacometti: Toward the Ultimate Figure
Co-organized by the Fondation Giacometti and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art of Kansas City.
Alberto Giacometti: Toward the Ultimate Figure focuses on the central interest of the artist's work: his extraordinary and singular representations of the human figure. The artistic development that led to Giacometti's figures will be highlighted through his sculptures, paintings and drawings.
This exhibition, which presents Giacometti's major achievements in the years following World War II, is the first major retrospective of the artist's work in the Midwest.
Curators: Romain Perrin (Fondation Giacometti) and William Keyse Rudolph (The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art)
