Alberto Giacometti: Beginning, Again

Tel Aviv, Israel
Off site

This is the first Alberto Giacometti retrospective in Israel, bringing together nearly 130 works from the collections of the Fondation Giacometti, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Israel Museum. The exhibition is co-organised by the Fondation Giacometti and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

The exhibition spans the four decades of Giacometti's career, from the early 1920s to the artist's death in 1966. Located in the recently renovated and new Eyal Ofer Pavilion, it features a special selection from Giacometti's Surrealist period, as well as iconic plasters and bronzes, paintings, drawings, and engraving, bringing the full scope of his practice into focus.

Curators: Hugo Daniel (Fondation Giacometti) and Ronili Lustig Steinmetz (Tel Aviv Museum of Art).
