The Ensemble NEXT from the Conservatoire de Paris in concert at the Institut Giacometti
As part of the exhibition "Giacometti / Morandi. Still Moments," the young musicians of the NEXT Ensemble from the Conservatoire de Paris offer an enthusiastic and bold musical journey. The pieces performed, composed by major figures such as Pierre Boulez, Luciano Berio, or John Cage, explore and question, similar to the works of Alberto Giacometti and Giorgio Morandi, the nature of art, its relationship with the audience, and its placement in space.
Within the exhibition spaces and close to the artworks, allow yourself to be guided between the paintings and sculptures, reminiscent of John Cage's "open works" or Pierre Boulez's "chaos of chance."
The NEXT Ensemble The NEXT Ensemble is composed of 15 student performers from the Artist Diploma - Interpretation Creation program, dedicated to the creation and performance of contemporary repertoires. With a long-standing collaboration with the Conservatoire de Paris, the Ensemble Intercontemporain is the privileged partner of this program.
