At the Institut Giacometti
On the occasion of the Nuits des musées, the Institut Giacometti wolcomes special effects makeup artist Harold Lévy for an introductory workshop open to all. You’ll create fake skin, scars, and other injuries, just like on a movie set!
Huma Bhabha found inspiration in the special effects used in fantasy and horror films to create her early sculptures. It is still possible to perceive this taste in the aspect at the edge of monstrosity of some of her artworks and also in their composite aspect, almost in metamorphosis, that you'll discover in the exhibition currently presented at the Institut Giacometti.
This workshop is for duos (a makeup artist and a model) and lasts 30 minutes. Please make sure to arrive at the Giacometti Lab at least 20 minutes before the beginning of a session. No booking is required.
