Fondation Giacometti

 As part of the exhibition "Giacometti Surrealist. Objects like Sculptures" running from 5 June to 1 November 2026, the Institut Giacometti is hosting a creative workshop with artist-designers.

 This workshop is aimed at adults, whether beginners or enthusiasts, who wish to discover or deepen a creative practice.
Guided by the artist-designer studio Atelier Baptiste & Jaïna, you will be invited to create an object through a sensitive and poetic exploration of materials. You will discover the craft of plaster, playing with imprints and traces, and will produce casts of objects.

This approach seeks to move away from the original function of the object in order to give rise to a poetic form, one that questions what is present… and what has disappeared (the solid, the void, presence, absence).

In a second phase, a photograph or an integration into a graphic composition will extend the narrative and enrich the object with a new dimension, through interplays of shadow and light, distortion, or contrast. You will leave with a unique object — your very own.
