Following a series of exhibitions exploring Alberto Giacometti’s relationships with the writers of his time, the Institut Giacometti is, for the first time, inviting a contemporary author, Olivia Rosenthal, to place her world in dialogue with that of Giacometti.
For the exhibition, Olivia Rosenthal explores the question of scale, from the miniature to the monumental, through an original scenography in which around fifty sculptures by Alberto Giacometti are brought together on a large platform erected at the heart of the Institut Giacometti.
Olivia Rosenthal has also written an original text for the exhibition catalogue, which she brings to life in the exhibition space through a collaboration with composer and video artist Eryck Abecassis.
