Drawing courses: studio life

Our evening classes are dedicated to studio life, during which Maryline Genest, graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts, invites participants to explore the creative process. As the weekly sessions progress, the participants explore a range of graphic and pictorial techniques to gradually familiarise themselves with the art of drawing, through which they explore notions of fullness and emptiness, space and light, as well as the living, the incomplete, the failed gesture... Notions that shaped Alberto Giacometti's creative process.

Open to all publics

Thursdays from October 2023 to June 2024 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Drawing classes 'Studio Life' take place at the Giacometti Lab, 9 rue Victor Schoelcher 75014

Life-drawing courses at the Institut Giacometti

One Saturday a month, the Institut Giacometti welcomes an unexpected form of creation within its exhibition spaces. Maryline Genest, graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, invites participants to draw “bodies at work” at the Institut.

Professional live models pose clothed in the spaces of the Institut Giacometti, sparking a dialogue with the works presented. This workshop provides an opportunity to observe and master the principles of modelling in space and drawing.

Open to all publics

One Saturday per month from October 2023 to June 2024 from 10AM to 1PM
Life drawing classes take place at the Institut, 5 rue Victor Schoelcher 75014.
