Fondation Giacometti - Art history courses for adults

The Giacometti Lab is a space dedicated to artistic practices and the transmission of knowledge. Located right next to the Institut Giacometti, the Lab hosts workshops related to the exhibitions, amateur art classes, art history courses and the École des Modernité’s lectures.

Giacometti Lab : 9 rue Victor Schoelcher, 75014

Art history courses take place on Tuesday evenings in the Lab.
These courses are divided into two main modules: one during the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, and the other during the second semester of the current academic year.

The first module invited participants to discover the Montparnasse district and its artistic context from the 1920s to the 1960s, accompanied by art historians Marine Nédélec, Marion Alluchon, Amanda Herold-Marme, Cécilia Braschi and Camille Paulhan.

The second, with art historian Cécilia Braschi, takes participants on a journey of discovery of Giacometti’s artistic career through a selection of ten emblematic sculptures.
