Peter Lindbergh was a pioneer of realism in fashion photography. His approach has considerably changed the standards of the genre. He collaborated with the most famed interantional magazines. Truely original, his snapshots prefers a persoanl dimension of his models, contributing to the craze in the 90s of the popularity and celebrity of Top Models. Fascinated by the work and personality of Giacometti, Peter Lindbergh has been invited to photograph the holdings of the Fondation Giacometti in Paris, 2017. Priviledging very tight shots and printing on larger scales, Lindbergh reveals by photography aspects of his sculptures impossible to perceive by the naked eye. Associating in his compositions the works from different periods, he imbues in them a dialog between moments in time and styles.
