In this new creative writing workshop, the Institut Giacometti invites you to explore writing alongside Olivia Rosenthal, a contemporary author and guest artist in the exhibition "Alberto Giacometti/Olivia Rosenthal. Coming Out of the Woods".
Over two days, this workshop offers you the opportunity to explore the relationships between the individual and the collective, the singular and the plural, between I, we and one, and between the personal and the anonymous.
The workshop will be conducted in French.
Through writing exercises inspired by lived experiences and the works on display in the exhibition, Olivia Rosenthal will guide you in reflecting on what connects a personal experience to the experiences of others.
As the ambiguity of the French word personne (meaning both “person” and “nobody”) reminds us, the aim is to bring together our irreducible individuality and our shared belonging to the human species.
